Computers and the Coronavirus
« on: Wed, 04 Mar 2020, 11:14:45 »
Hi.
With what seems no abatement in the spread of this disease and the shutting down of most of the manufacturing in China for Computer parts, will there be a price hike in computers and or computer parts.
What  are your thoughts?. Would this be the time to be thinking of buying a new computer?!.

I'd be more worried about the £ $ conversion rate. Most of this sort of stuff is traded in $. At least the £ has recovered somewhat recently after the crash a few days ago.

maybe uk retailers will be desperate for revenue
and cut prices to move stock
caranado pilotplus and orbx have all got sales on
i need overclockers or ebuyer to have a graphics card sale
or maybe hp revurb would be nice.
i live in hope
with this isolation im getting stung to fix things around the house
never mind flying time

It's easier for Orbx to cut prices as it doesn't cost them any more to create another for you. Bit harder with a GFX card.
