It's long been known that there is a vast amount of free stuff that can be downloaded for our favourite simulator.
The 'org' is stuffed with anything imaginable from popular aircraft to the most obscure plugin. and since X-Plane 11 arrived more and more talented programmers and artists have turned their hand to enhancing our world.
There does seem to be a lot of unfinished? experimental? designs on the 'org' but occasionally something great shines through. I'm thinking of some of my favourites such as the Aerobask Robin DR401 or the Ryan Navion 205. Payware quality for free.. I'm sure you can think of others.
So here is my latest recommendation, the Yakolev Yak-18T by PWDT
https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/51672-pwdt-yakovlev-yak-18t/
A four- or five-seat fully aerobatic utility aircraft (time to make your passengers queasy)
Easy to fly, behaves itself on the ground and the textures inside and out are beautiful.
What's not to like? With more liveries probably coming soon I can see me dragging this new boy out of the hangar quite often.
Cheers
