Setting up TeamSpeak 3

At Sunday's meeting at the Barn it was agreed that we would start to make the move from TeamSpeak 2 to TeamSpeak 3.
TeamSpeak 3 offers many advantages, not least of which being better voice quality for less bandwidth, but as delivered removes the ability to move rooms in fly-ins through tuning aircraft radios - although I am working on this when time allows. Whilst the intention is certainly NOT to turn TS2 off overnight as migration to the new platform will likely take many weeks, the intention is that TS3 will become the preferred voice solution for ad hoc communications and for fly-ins in the medium term.
As such, you will now see on the right of the screen, a view on TeamSpeak 3 server activity as well as that on the TeamSpeak 2 server. As with the TeamSpeak 2 activity box, you can click on your name at the top and join the server directly once you've installed the software.
A set of instructions to guide you through the download and installation (if you're a new TS3 user) and configuration (for old and new users alike) of TeamSpeak 3 for use on our server appears at the end of this link.
TeamSpeak 3 Installation Instructions
If you're having trouble installing or setting up, please post questions in the
"TeamSpeak ]I[" thread in the "Help" board on this forum
and I, or someone who's done it before, will be along to help.

The move to TeamSpeak 3 is complete...
Reference to it has been removed from this forum's status windows and it will no longer be possible to connect on the online server (although it can be brought back into service with the flick of a switch if so desired.
Thanks for your support in making the transition smooth and painless!
