I know I have asked a similar question at one of the meetings, but was wondering if I can use the MKLINK method to move all my main scenery (ORBX, UK200, VFR GEN X etc), or do some of these need to stay on my main ssd C: drive?
Thanks for any help, and see you all on Sunday.

I've only used MKLINK to move my Orbx stuff off the FSX drive to another but I'd expect the other folders to work ok too. Use the /J command option.

Hi Mark,
I used the MkLink solution ONLY to move my FTX/ORBX scenery - as this seems to be the only software that fails to offer any relocation options on installation.
The rest of my scenery I simply "moved" on to my various other SSD-drives....with a greater degree of 'logic', so that I grouped my "UK" on one, "Europe" on anther, R o W on another and Orbix (with that link) on another.
I now have only the FSX 'base' programme on my 'C' drive.
I admit that it was painfully slow to rebuild my Scenery.cfg file and to get the library layering structure correct.
But, I do believe that it was a worthwhile move.
(Although it hasn't actually stopped my system from misbehaving ....occasionally!
