Gloster Javelin FAW Mk.9
From time to time an image of a Javelin pops up with the message "For Ollie". The colours seem wrong to me and this one, by Mike Stone, is much nearer the way it still looks in my memory.

Taking the next step after registration
« on: Tue, 10 Jul 2012, 21:35:18 »
It has been noticed that of those flight simulator people who register with us, most neither regularly visit the web site nor join in with our activities. The Bristol Flight Simulator Group has been very successful in helping itís members to learn more about using Flight Simulation, and so this has enhanced immeasurably their enjoyment of this hobby.

To try and encourage those who have registered with us, but do not seem to be getting as much as they could by their membership, we are making some changes which we hope will be of some help in developing their interest in using Flight Simulation.

Because we do not know exactly why we have this situation, it is difficult to identify a remedy. However, we do know that members who join the weekly Thursday online flying sessions do advance their skills and interest Ė they also make friends Ė and so we will try to make it easier to take the first steps necessary to start this process.

The first step, following registration, will be to download and install Teamspeak 2. Once this is done, then connect to us and chat to whoever you meet there. We will try to discover what your interests are and help you to make progress to achieve your aims.

Please do not hold back because you donít know much about using Flight Simulation. We all had to start somewhere so why not start with this process of connecting with us? You must have some interest in using Flight Simulation to have registered with us.Ē

You can take the first step to learning more about Flight Simulation and enjoying itís use by following this link to get TeamSpeak working ( http://www.bristolflightsimgroup.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=2304.0 )
