Please note that Multimap, using a search on BS16 2RW, although close, incorrectly shows the Lincombe Barn across the road from where it really is. But this is very close to the correct destination!
Directions
It is difficult to construct route information to suit everybody, because you will approach from different directions. However, most people are familiar with the motorway junctions so I will start from Junction 19 of the M4.
At Junction 19 take the M32 exit to Bristol, but within 300 yards, stay left and exit at Junction 1 of the M32. At the bottom of the exit slip road, turn left (East) at the roundabout traffic lights and follow the A4174 to Downend. This is a dual carriageway. After about ¼ mile, go straight ahead at the next set of traffic lights and now position in the middle of three lanes (the right hand lane merges into your lane as the road narrows into two lanes). Stay in this right lane (marked “A4017 Downend”)
After about ¼ mile, at the next roundabout, again with traffic lights, take the second exit marked “A4017 Downend”. You will be correctly positioned for this if you approach in the right hand lane.
You now have about 1 mile to get to the Lincombe Barn.
Travel through a 30 mph suburban zone for about ¾ mile at and the next set of traffic lights, go straight ahead.
After about ¼ mile, take the first turning on the right into Rockland Road and as you do so, you will see the Lincombe Barn Community Centre immediately on the left hand side. It has a free car park.
